Successfully complete 75 hours of Board-approved courses covering the topics required by the TALCB in subjects related to real estate appraisal. This must include 15 hours of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). |

Submit a completed application, course completion certificates, and appropriate fee of $105.00. In order to be a Trainee Appraiser you must be affiliated with a certified appraiser and must perform appraisals under the active, personal and diligent direct and supervision of their sponsoring certified appraiser who shall sign the appraisal report and appraisal log. |

Successfully complete 150 hours of AQB required "core curriculum" courses. This must include the 15 hours of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) completed within two years of application. |

Legally acquire 2,000 hours of acceptable real estate appraisal experience over a minimum of 12 months. |

Submit completed application, fee of $235.00, course completion certificates and appraisal log and affidavit. Once the board approves and accepts your application, education and experience you will be sent Promissor Candidate Handbook and Test Information Card. You may then contact PSI to schedule your exam appointment. |
